Andrew Moody is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Macau and an authority on the forms, functions and status of English within the territory. His primary research and publication efforts, however, are related to the role of English in popular culture and sociolinguistic methods appropriate to the study of popular culture. He and Jamie Shinhee Lee have edited a volume of essays entitled English in Asian Popular Culture (Hong Kong University Press, 2011), a volume that defines examination of this field. He is currently the editor of the journal English Today (Cambridge University Press).
